Mr. Selim Esmail, Founder and Managing Partner of Karvy Financial
Advisory Services, is a senior investment professional with more
than 16 years of experience in the field of private equity, investment
banking, IPO’s and corporate finance. Mr. Esmail has worked at Oman
Investment Fund (OIF), the Sovereign Wealth Fund of the Sultanate of
Oman, as Investment Director, leading OIF’s investment activities in
the industrial, TMT & consumer sectors. He has a proven track record
in leading the sourcing, filtering, execution and exit of private equity
deals, implementation of value creation plans in acquired businesses
and recommending performance improvements. Prior to joining OIF,
he served as Head of Strategy and Budgeting at Alizz Islamic Bank,
where he was responsible for the bank’s overall strategy, budgeting and
planning. Previously, he served as Senior Manager at PwC where he led
the Transaction Services team in Oman, working with both government
and private sector clients
